Uma Thurman To Be The Face Of Next Givenchy Perfume

Parfums Givenchy has announced that Uma Thurman is to be the face of their next perfume scheduled for release in September. She joins Liv Tyler who you’ll remember from Givenchy’s Very Irresistable perfume adverts and Justin Timberlake who endorsed their latest men’s fragrance, Play.

Let’s just hope that Givenchy doesn’t make the same mistake as Lancôme. In December last year Uma filed a $15 million lawsuit against Lancôme for allegedly continuing to use her image to sell products even though her contract with them expired in 2004. According to a L’Oréal spokeswoman (Lancôme’s parent company), “The use of Ms. Thurman’s image after her contract expired, however minor, was neither deliberate nor intentional.” Is that lawyer-speak for “we hoped she wouldn’t notice”?
