Avril Lavigne Gets Ready To Launch Black Star Perfume

Avril Lavigne seems to be having fun as she gets ready to launch her first fragrance, Black Star, which she describes as being ‘me in a bottle’. And it looks like she had a say in more that just what’s in the bottle. According to Avril, “The inspiration [for the mirrored squares on the carton] came from my love of studded belts and studded bracelets.”
Said to be aimed at her teenage fan-base (no surprises there), Black Star includes notes of pink hibiscus, black plum and dark chocolate. I suspect that it will be a sweet floral number – hopefully not too sweet. The fragrance will be available in Europe from July as an EDP in 15ml, 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes, complemented by a body lotion, deodorant and shower gel.
